The year in movies: 2011
In 2009 I kept a list of every new movie I watched, and two years ago to this day, I posted the final list to Tumblr. I decided early this year to repeat the exercise, and my 2011 viewing habits ended up markedly different. With some notable exceptions, I largely abandoned the “classic” films I gravitated toward in ‘09, and my movie consumption was lower than it used to be. But maybe that’s a good thing — I’m saving my time (and money) for the stuff I’m really interested in.
And, with that, here is my 2011 in movies (bold type denotes a favorite):
